General Emballage is the market leader in corrugated cardboard packaging in Algeria with a market share of around 40%. It was created in 1998 in Akbou (200 km from Algiers). It began operations in 2002 and currently employs about 800 people. General Emballage has also opened two industrial and commercial units in Setif (eastern Algeria) and Oran (western Algeria).
