AfricInvest exits its investment in UAP Holdings

AfricInvest, Aureos Africa Fund (managed by Abraaj) and Swedfund, have together entered into an agreement to sell their 37.3% collective stake in UAP Holdings Limited to Old Mutual Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Old Mutual plc for KES 14.2 billion (approximately USD155.5 million). When combined with its earlier purchase of 23.3% of UAP, this new sale will bring Old Mutual's holding up to 60.7%.
