Co-founder of AfricInvest. He has over 20 years of experience in the private equity industry both in the Maghreb region and in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has participated in raising around US$1 billion in private equity funds as well as structuring and executing more than 50 equity transactions on the investment and divestment sides. He acts as a board member for several investee companies in the Maghreb region, Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. Between 1991 and 1994, he was the General Manager of two industrial companies, ILVA Maghreb and Tunisacier International (which are affiliates of ILVA, a large Italian conglomerate), having held various management positions in these companies since 1988. Aziz is a graduate of the engineering university École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, France.
