SFC and Africinvest participate in the opening ceremony of Cedarcrest in Abuja Nigeria

Cedarcrest Hospitals (formerly known as Cedarcrest Orthopedic Clinics Limited) is a private multispecialty medical care centre that was established in Abuja in January 2008. It began as a highly specialized orthopedic surgery facility. Its success in the orthopedic niche and the lack of high-quality specialist services in related surgical fields, caused it to expand into other specialties each of which is required in cases of large-scale trauma. It has also added a small number of additional capabilities – eye care and surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and limited general surgery – driven by demand from its customer base, especially corporates. All of these activities are supported by a highly developed radiology unit, including CT Scan and MRI capabilities. SFC Finance’s debt facility of $3.5 million has financed the completion and full equipment of the Abuja hospital by adding 46 beds, two additional operating theatres and one additional eight-bed Intensive Care Unit. The financing helped to respond to the urgent need to complete the hospital and leverage on Cedarcrest’s strong reputation to pursue the successful development in the healthcare industry.
